ALTERNATE SPRING GRADING OPTION
UNC Academic Senate, the Provost and President have approved alternate (Satisfactory/Unsatisfactory) grading for Spring term due to disruptions related to the global pandemic. Emails have been sent to students, and information can be found on the COVID-19 FAQ page.
Please note that S/U grading can impact program requirements, licensures, probationary status, athletic eligibility and the transferability of credit. Changes can be made and updated through May 29.

Check here for frequently asked questions regarding COVID-19, the campus' response and other information for students and faculty and staff.

*** Center for Urban Education COVID-19 Update

The Denver Center at Lowry (home to CUE) will be closed starting March 17, 5:00 p.m., until further notice.

Classes: All UNC classes will be delivered remotely for the rest of the Spring semester. All in-person classes are cancelled for March 23 & 24. Note: Spring Break = March 30 - April 5.

Practicums and student teaching: if you have responsibilities in a school, please follow the guidance and policies of your school/district.

03/12/2020

In order to minimize the disruption of student progress in our programs, here are the current CUE course delivery plan during COVID-19 concerns (these plans are necessarily fluid as the situation progresses).

1. Weeks of March 16th and March 23rd: Classes are not canceled. Professors will transfer their classes online during this time.

2. Week of March 30th: No classes – this is our scheduled spring break.

3. Week of April 6th: Resume normal schedule as UNC main campus is planning to do. This date is fluid – that is, it may change as we get closer to this date.

4. Students ought to continue their work in schools (student teaching and apprenticeship hours) as long as their schools are open.
