Please note that due to COVID-19 and the University of Denver’s directive, the Veterans Advocacy Project will be conducting all operations remotely from March 16-April 10 (subject to change). We will not be conducting any meetings or interviews in person during this time period. Additionally, we will not be physically present in the VAP office in Denver and all operations will be conducted from our own individual and respective homes. We will continue to respond to emails and voicemails; we will continue to receive applications for legal services; we will continue to work our cases, review documents, and respond accordingly. However, all operations, including response times, may be delayed. Please be patient and stay safe.

Systemic misunderstanding of the law within VA about which veterans to care for — and which should be denied services — has triggered improper mass denial of care since 1980, a study has found.
