Today's Executive MBA classroom is over 800 miles from Denver, and it has a sail. ⛵

Cohort 86 is on the water in San Diego for a signature first-quarter immersion, putting leadership and team dynamics into practice as they learn to sail.

Sailing teams form, storm, norm and perform in real time. Over three days, students move from complete beginners to racing in a fast-paced competition. It's a Daniels Executive Leadership class turned into a living laboratory.

Congratulations to ISACA Denver on 50 years!

Two members of the Daniels community helped celebrate the milestone: Professor of the Practice Suzette Loving and alumnus Matt Randolph, a principal at EY who serves on the School of Accountancy and Business Information and Analytics advisory boards at the College.

For five decades, ISACA Denver has connected practitioners, students and educators across the region around IT governance, risk, audit and security. Both Suzette and Matt have served as president, held other board leadership roles and helped grow the chapter's network.

When Aidan Routzon came to Daniels for his master's degree, he saw AI as an opportunity into a fast-changing field. Now, he develops AI-driven strategies at RingCentral that make work easier for employees.

His path started in Andrew Schnackenberg's Leading Self course, where a guest speaker, Tony Gorski, became his mentor. Gorski offered him an AI implementation internship at his company, UVConcepts, which gave Aidan the hands-on experience that helped him land his role at RingCentral.

His advice to students interested in AI: "The best way to learn is to do."

Travel became Loren Sjoquist's calling card after he took his first international trip through the Daniels Part-time Professional MBA program.

That global business course laid the foundation for the career he built abroad—three years as a strategic planner alongside the president of global sales at Emerson, and now, EVP of Global Sales at Rite-Hite. He credits success to the high-caliber teaching and cohort-based learning at Daniels, which let him apply lessons immediately to his everyday work.
