What code are you living by?
We all live by a code often unseen, unspoken, and even unknown to ourselves. On September 2, Dr. Philip Reed-Butler, Director of the AI Institute and Associate Professor of Theology and Black Posthuman AI Systems at Iliff School of Theology, explores how the hidden programming that shapes our ways of being can become a pathway toward a more cohesive and interwoven way of living.
Join Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary for Woven Together by Code, part of the 2026 Mosaic Symposium.

We all live by (a) code. Whether we acknowledge it or not. Much like the software we encounter on a regular basis, a person’s code is not readily visible. However, code is responsible for the ways that things behave. Especially those things which depend upon its logic(s) to function. However, when it comes to people our code is rarely visible, even to ourselves. “Woven Together By Code” will explore our unexplored and unspoken programming/ways of life as a means to arrive at a more cohesive and interwoven way of living and being.
