Five years ago, Auston Duncan was told he might never walk again.

Now, the MSU Denver psychology student and Air Force veteran has completed a half marathon without assistive devices and could hold a Guinness World Record.

His journey from a life-changing spinal cord injury to crossing the finish line is a story of resilience, purpose and redefining what’s possible.

Our new online Master of Science in Event and Experience Management is designed for professionals ready to move beyond the logistics and take the lead in designing memorable, guest-centered experiences.

For alumnus Nicolas Escobedo, general manager of Michelin-starred BRUTØ in Denver, it’s an opportunity to keep learning while building on a career he’s already passionate about.

Launching this fall, the program prepares students to lead in a growing industry spanning hospitality, sports, tourism, entertainment, festivals and more.

What does learning with AI actually look like?

For Industrial Design student William Block, it meant using AI-powered tools to turn a watch sketch into a realistic rendering. More importantly, it changed how he sees his future.

"The more I use it, the less I think AI is going to take my job," Block said. "It changes what I think my job is going to be."

Across campus, MSU Denver students are learning how to use AI responsibly while building the skills employers continue to value.

This fall, students from every major can build those skills even further through the new AI Fundamentals course.
