Hello all and welcome to the University of Denver’s Alpha Eta Iota chapter of Alpha Phi Omega! We are a national, co-ed service fraternity with core values dedicated to leadership, friendship and service. APO was founded in 1925 at Lafayette College by Frank Reed Horton and peers "to assemble college students in a National Service Fraternity in the fellowship of principles; to develop Leadership,
to promote Friendship, and to provide Service to humanity; and to further the freedom that is our national, educational, and intellectual heritage." APO is the largest collegiate fraternity in the US with over 350 chapters across campuses totaling to 25,000 active students and 400,000 alumni. We have committees under Fellowship, Service, Leadership, Fundraising, Membership and Public and Alumni Relations allowing members to join a committee and contribute to APO’s numerous volunteer and extracurricular activities. Unique to the University of Denver, APO has participated in many opportunities to give back to the DU and Denver Metro area community including serving lunch at Urban Peak Teenage Homeless Shelter, volunteering at the Rocky Mountain Feline Rescue, tabling with Love Hope Strength to ask for bone marrow donor registrants, raising money for and walking in DU’s Relay for Life and attending DU athletic and campus-wide events! Please contact DU’s APO President Sydney Donati-Leach for any questions, comments or concerns at [email protected]. For further information:
