Among the presenters were Mekella and Julie Butterfield, who are recent graduates of the master's in entrepreneurship program. They showcased their innovation through their business, Ella’s Charm, a costumed character entertainment service.

Students can access low-cost shipping or free pickup options by ordering commencement regalia before Oct. 11!

📅 Through Oct. 11, students can:
arrange to pick up their regalia for free on campus or ship their regalia to home (25 to 30 days) for $19.10.

📅 Through Nov. 1, students can:
get their regalia through expedited ship-to-home (14 to 20 days) for $29.65.

📅 On Nov. 17 and 18, students can:
pay a walk-up fee and get their cap and gown at Cap and Gown Pick Up for $40.

📅 On Dec. 12, students can:
pay a walk-up fee and get their cap and gown before the ceremony for $40.

Please note that the full cost of regalia includes shipping and rental fees.

Meet Nayzeth, a first-generation student who earned both her bachelor’s and master’s degrees from University of Colorado Denver. As a Lynx, she found mentors, opportunities and a community that helped her discover a passion for supporting others.

“It was really an environment that gave me so much opportunity to grow and to network in and because of that, I was able to be so successful and really love what I was doing.”

Now working at CU Denver, Nayzeth is helping students and giving back to the community.

FAFSA is open for the 2027-28 academic year!

Begin the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) now to avoid future stress and make sure to add CU Denver using our school code: 004508.

Here are some of our top tips for filing the FAFSA:
1️⃣ File early to maximize your financial aid opportunities.
2️⃣ Collect required documents ahead of time.
3️⃣ Give yourself time. Expect to spend 30 to 60 minutes filing out your FAFSA.
4️⃣ Make sure to include contributors, such as parents, to add their financial information.

Carla Gutierrez transferred to the CU Denver School of Public Affairs from the Community College of Denver as a nontraditional student pursuing a new career path. She felt there was no better choice for her to meet her moment.

“Coming to CU Denver was the best decision I made. I actually cried when I got my acceptance. I was so excited to be here. I still am,” said Gutierrez.
