We are sisters by choice and bonded through our love for Alpha Kappa Alpha and each other. This past weekend, though the temperature was high, we celebrated that bond with “Sisterhood in Bloom”. We laughed as we ate, drank, took photos, listened to music, played games, and created bouquets! Nothing beats this sisterhood and these sisters.

Our chapter is proud to partner with the historic Willkie House in Des Moines as we continue our commitment to serving youth and strengthening our community.

Last week, we had the privilege of providing a hot taco bar lunch for participants in the Willkie House summer program. A warm meal is more than just food. It creates connection, provides nourishment, and helps ensure young people have the energy they need to learn, play, and thrive.

We are grateful for the opportunity to support the incredible work happening at Willkie House and look forward to continuing this partnership.
