Meet Miranda Peterson:)

“Hi! I’m Miranda, a senior SRNA at UDM, Class of 2027! I also earned my BSN from UDM, so I feel really blessed to be back for graduate school and continue my journey here.

Favorite skill I’ve learned:
Giving myself grace and taking things one day at a time. I’ve learned to appreciate the little wins and how much you grow along the way!

Favorite part of the program:
The relationships I’ve made along the way! I love supporting my classmates and mentoring another SRNA. Being there for each other through the tough days has been one of the most meaningful parts of anesthesia school for me.

Hobbies:
Kayaking, gardening, and anything outdoors! I love spending my summers camping, going to concerts, and being outside as much as possible.

Fun facts:
I lived in Shanghai, China for three years and studied Mandarin while I was there, and I can still pick up some phrases! Sea turtles have also always been my favorite animal, and I grew up with pet turtles.”

Our SRNAs attended the 3rd Annual Detroit Mercy Research Symposium, connecting with healthcare professionals and exploring research shaping the future of healthcare.

Congratulations to Class of 2026 CRNAs Mackenzie Riordan and Megan Richardson for presenting their research at the symposium! 👏❤️💙

Meet Abby Bastien ❤️💙

Favorite anesthesia skill: Spinals are definitely her favorite skill so far!

Favorite part of the program: One of Abby’s favorite memories was doing a triathlon with her classmates! She also loves the post-exam lunches.

Hobbies: Boating in the summer, cheering on the Lions, walking the Detroit Riverfront, working out, and spending as much time as she can with friends and family.

Abby has loved getting to experience anesthesia while making some of the best memories and friendships along the way. 🤍
