Sigma Pi Fraternity at University of Detroit Mercy Sigma Pi Gamma Alpha at the University of Detroit Mercy. The University of Detroit Chapter began as a colony of ∑∏ in 1962.

Sigma Pi Fraternity, International was founded February 26, 1897 at Vincennes University by Rolin Rosco James, William Raper Kennedy, George Martin Patterson and James Thompson Kingsbury. With over 220 chapters chartered across the United States and Canada, and more than 80000 alumni, ∑∏ stands among the strongest and most respected organizations in the Greek - letter world. The Chapter currently has 24 active members.
