Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Lambda Pi Omega Chapter was chartered September 10, 1977 with the mission of serving the city of Detroit through the motto of "Service to all Mankind." Lambda Pi Omega has served as a catalyst for change in the community for more than 45 years with dynamic and impactful service programs and events. We are proud to support the 2022--2026 International Program Goals of Soaring to Greater Heights of Service & Sisterhood. Lambda Pi Omega is an internationally recognized chapter with members serving on all levels. We are also the chapter home of the International Regional Director, Carrie J. I am honored to serve as the 24rd President of Lambda Pi Omega Chapter and we will continue to deliver the International Program by "Soaring to New Heights of Service & Sisterhood." We are a growing, vibrant chapter starting with our twenty-five determined and diligent charter members and growing to a multi-generational chapter of over 600 members committed to service. We actively seek opportunities to engage with the community, collaborate with partners, and offer programs and services that are impactful and sustainable. It was a DAY OF SERVICE & CIVIC ENGAGEMENT yesterday at WCCCD-Northwest Campus for Lambda Pi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated® as we welcomed sisters from around the globe to Detroit to celebrate Carrie J. Clark’s election as First Supreme Vice President!

Our commitment to Service to All Mankind was on full display as we made an impact throughout our community:

❄️ 825 Winter Warmth Items Packed — Providing comfort and warmth for students at Thurgood Marshall Elementary School and Schulze Academy for Technology & Arts.

🎒 Duffle Bags for Dignity — Supporting AKA’s signature program, AKA Foster the Future: From Here to Hope, by packing duffle bags filled with essential and comfort items for young people navigating the foster care system.

🍎 25 Teacher Appreciation Gifts Prepared — Celebrating the dedicated educators who teach, encourage, and support our youth every day.

🗳️ Party at the Polls — Encouraging community members to make their voices heard and participate in Michigan’s early voting period.

📣 GOTV Voter Education Forum — Partnering with AARP Michigan on the first day of early voting in Detroit to bring the Divine Nine together for nonpartisan voter education, helpful information, and valuable resources.
