WSU Student Senate Meetings are held on the first and third Thursday of every month at 6pm in Hilberry C on the second floor of the Student Center. Your Voice, Our Priority.

The Wayne State University Student Senate is a non-discriminatory, non-partisan representative body of students. Its primary objective is to identify progressive methods, which can be utilized by all students to encourage leadership, uphold student achievement, enhance campus-community life through quality programming, and act as a liaison between students and the Administration. Join us for the Youth Policy Changemakers Summit, a collaboration between Wayne State Student Senate and Science Policy Network Detroit.

The Summit aims to increase youth involvement in civic engagement by helping students understand the many ways they can get involved in their communities and why their participation matters. The event will feature a panel discussion, keynote speaker, and interactive breakout sessions, with participation from a variety of civic and community organizations, including the Michigan Secretary of State’s Office.

The event will take place Friday, October 23, from 2–6 p.m. in the Student Center Ballroom, and free food will be provided for all attendees.

🗳️ Civic engagement in action!

Last Friday, four of our Fellows attended the MI Student Voter Summit at Michigan State University! We connected with about 50 students from across Michigan and learned more about voter registration, voting access, and ways to inspire more students to participate in our democracy.

Thank you to the Students Learn Students Vote Coalition for bringing us together and MSU for hosting us 🙌🏻
