Clark Park has been a vital community hub since the 1800s. Thanks to everyone who helped keep this beautiful 30-acre space thriving.

Orientation Week is all about helping our incoming students get connected to the people, programs and resources here to support them throughout their Wayne Law journey.

Today’s Resource Fair gave students the chance to meet representatives from across Wayne Law and Wayne State, learn about available services and discover resources for everything from academics and career development to wellness, financial support and campus life.

A great start to getting connected and making Wayne Law feel like home. 💚💛

Meet the 2026 Damon J. Keith Pre-Law Summer Institute Cohort

This summer, 8 undergraduates from Wayne State University and Spelman College, Tennessee State University, and North Carolina A&T State University participated in the DJK Summer Institute. They prepped for the LSAT, observed federal court hearings, learned from accomplished lawyers and professors, and competed in a mock trial.

Congratulations to mock trial winners Zaria Jackson, Karla Alvarado, Joshua Edwards, and Jordan Edwards (with best oral advocates going to Zaria Jackson and Joshua Edwards).

All participants received $500 law school scholarships and something far more valuable: clarity about the advocate they're meant to become.

Wayne Law recently hosted the Law of Policing Conference in partnership with the ABA Legal Education Police Practices Consortium. The event brought together scholars, practitioners, students, and community leaders to discuss police oversight, accountability, and the role of legal scholarship in advancing meaningful reform.

We are so proud of Wayne Law student Kerri Tang, who took First Place in the Eleventh Annual AUWCL National Health Law Writing Competition at American University Washington College of Law! 🎉

Kerri's winning paper, "Don't Kickback, and Relax: Navigating the Post-Regeneron Circuit Split and the Unsettled Future of 'Resulting From' in 2026," was inspired by her health law coursework and her experience clerking at a health law firm.

Kerri shared: "I am honored to represent Wayne Law and receive this prize from American University. This award is a reflection of the kindness that I have been fortunate to receive from so many people. I am very happy to be sharing this recognition with all of you."

Historic results for Wayne Law's Class of 2025.

95.2% of graduates secured full-time, long-term legal positions, a new all-time high. And on the February 2026 Michigan bar exam, 88% of Wayne Law first-time takers passed, compared to 61% statewide.

As Senior Assistant Dean Lisa Fadler shared: "Wayne Law is very happy to celebrate the remarkable achievements of our graduates, whose exceptional academic achievement, employment rates, and bar success exemplify the caliber of talent nurtured within our institution."

We are so proud of you, Class of 2025. Continue to do great things.

On May 18, Wayne Law celebrated our Master of Studies in Law, Juris Doctor, and Master of Laws graduates. From late nights in the library to walking across that stage, every step led to this. Congratulations to the Class of 2026! 💚💛
