Detroit Mercy Theatre Company The award-winning theatre company of University of Detroit Mercy

WHAT OUR ALUMNI ARE SAYING
“Detroit Mercy Theatre Company gives its graduates something other programs can’t seem to deliver - a strong survival instinct and drive that is not only essential but crucial in today’s world...” - Angelina Fiordellisi '81

“The Theatre Company was run as much like an active member of the professional theatre community as it was a training program, and that is what made the difference. I learned practical things that I’m not sure I would have learned in a traditional training program. There were invaluable skills on the technical side of theatre that kept me in the game when I wasn’t acting. It also fostered an all-for-one and one-for-all attitude for all the theatre companies that I’ve worked with subsequently.” - Keegan-Michael Key '93

“My degree and being part of Detroit Mercy Theatre Company was instrumental in preparing me for my career.” - David De Angelis '94

“The theater program was an amazing and unique place for me to cut my teeth on all things theater... Seasoned actors were my teachers, and their practical and diverse knowledge was essential to my growth as a performer.” - Jamie Moyer '01

Other notable alumni: Anita Barone ’86, Chris Berryman ’94, James Bowen ’86, Mary Bremer-Beer ’88, Ryan Carlson ’98, Chris Darga ’80, Jason Echols ’08, Mindy Farbrother ’77, Patrick Gough ’03, Mary Gutzi ’75, Patricia Hicok ’81, Yasmine Jaffri ’93, Chris Jakob ’19, David Patrick Kelly ’76, Karen Kron-Dickson ’94, Travis Reiff ’00, Greg Trzaskoma ’94, Maggie Wysocki-Lorenzetti ’85, Amy Yasbeck ’83
