Being Stuck Doesn’t Suck

Week 3: Sequestration Cantillation

Directions: Pick a popular song and adapt the title or lyrics to reflect quarantine life. You can send text, audio or video files for your entry.

Below is “Corona Nation” adapted from the Red Hot Chili Peppers “Californication”

Infected bats from China try to steal your mind’s elation.

They got loose and on menus. Now we’re all in isolation.

Now we’re stuck inside six feet apart in Corona Nation.

At the edge of the world and all of western civilization.

The shelves are bare so we have to share or learn primitization.

When you have to poo it’s not good news in Corona Nation.

Wash your hands very well to stop spreading contagions.

Bored inside but just sit down. Is that the war you’re waging?

Society’s worn

But we won’t be torn

What day is today??
Today, February 21st is International mother language day across the world!

International mother language day is the world wide holiday to celebrate and promote linguistic diversity and multilingualism. This is declared by UNESCO in 1999 and observed since 2000. So today is 20th mother language day🎉

Why today? - It is because the 1952 killing in Danika during the language movement took place in East Pakistan where currently is Bangladesh.

Happy mother language day! And hopefully this bring awareness of lingual and cultural diversity and joy of learning difference between them🌍🌏🌎
