We are pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Zainab Toteh Osakwe as Senior Associate Dean and Chief Nursing Officer! A nurse practitioner with extensive leadership experience across academic, hospital, and home-and community-based care settings, Dr. Osakwe will be tasked with providing the strategic, operational, and academic leadership necessary in preparing the next generation of nursing professionals.

In May, the Mercy community gathered in the Rotunda on the Westchester Campus to honor the scholars, mentors and educators who make up the heart of the institution. The annual Faculty Recognition Ceremony brought together faculty, staff and university leadership for an afternoon of celebration, recognizing retirements, promotions and research faculty carry into their classrooms every day. A few short weeks ago, we welcomed more than 2,300 Mavericks into the Mercy University Alumni family.

Over two days, Mercy family, friends, staff and faculty filled the Westchester County Center to celebrate this year’s graduating class.
