On Saturday August 8th, NSSLHA and CHS hosted our annual “Family Day” event. Friends and family got to visit the Speech-Langauge Institute and our Downers Grove Campus. Students presented on what the cohort has been up the last couple of months. We had so much fun showing our friends and family all the fun things we have done and accomplished. Last week, the SLP program hosted their annual Parkinson’s Health Fair. Students got to work alongside our faculty and the physical therapy institute. They had the opportunity to educate our community about Parkinson’s. This included learning about how voice, swallowing, hearing, and overall movement can be affected. Everyone had a great time and we can’t wait for next year!
