Join the Labriola National American Indian Data Center, in partnership with AZ Humanities, as we host Diné author and filmmaker, Brian Young. Brian is the acclaimed author of “Healer of the Water Monster” and “Ancestor Approved: Intertribal Stories for Kids”. In “Healer of the Water Monster”, Brian uses Diné creation stories to create a new and contemporary story of Indigenous life.
Join us for a conversation with Brian about “Healer of the Water Monster” and its upcoming sequel, “Heroes of the Water Monster”, and a roundtable discussion with Brian and students about Indigenous creation stories and their impact on contemporary Indigenous life!
The first 25 students will receive a free copy of “Healer of the Water Monster” and lunch will be provided!
