2021 Alumni Amelia Kaufman worked with the town of Freeville to create a logo and nine interpretive panels for Station Park. Here is what the Mayor David Fogel said about her work on the project.

"I'd like to salute my collaborator on the panels project, graphic designer, photographer and long-distance runner Amelia Kaufman. Amelia entered the Freeville logo contest while studying graphic design at TC3 last year, and the rest is, well, history. Her creativity and keen design sense added great value to the project throughout the course of our ten-month working relationship."

Some good news to head into the weekend - Graphic Design graduate Michelle LaMorte has been honored with the Continuing Education Association of New York (CEANY) Regional Outstanding Adult Continuing Education Student Award for the 2020-21 academic year. LaMorte won the $1,000 award for demonstrating persistence, drive, and success in overcoming obstacles to achieve her educational goals. (She is shown here being presented the check by Provost Paul Reifenheiser)

LaMorte was a dean’s list student and filled several roles, including Design Team Production Manager, for Ke’lab, the College’s literary visual arts journal. She was a Pathways Scholar, a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success, and the recipient of several scholarships and awards. She graduated with honors in May 2021 and is planning to continue her education with hopes of becoming an arts teacher.
