Kappa Kappa Gamma Empowering women, inspiring change and fostering sisterhood since 1870. We believe in dreaming boldly and living fully together.

The mission of Kappa Kappa Gamma is to unite women to learn, grow and inspire positive change throughout their lives. Our official social media accounts are designed to be spaces for members to connect and share open and respectful dialogue. “I applied to be an LC for a ton of reasons! My Kappa experience as an active member was some of the best years of my life, and I wanted nothing more than to help members across the continent understand how Kappa could support them through this special time in their lives. I also had great experiences with LCs visiting my chapter, had a good friend become an LC herself (shoutout Lauren Theisen!), always loved to travel, and so much more. This sisterhood started with a moment. A conversation over a bridge at Monmouth College. That turned into little golden keys, songs we still sing, traditions we still carry, and countless moments of sisterhood. “A large part of why I went Kappa — and then became an LC — was because of my connection to and passion for mental health and well-being awareness and advocacy.

Growing up with a family member who struggled with their mental health, I saw how deeply it impacted their life and, in turn, my own family's lives. For a long time, I felt alone in navigating the challenges that came along with that.

When I came to the University of Tennessee and joined Kappa, I found a community of people who shared my passion for supporting others and creating awareness around mental health. I think it is so special that Kappa’s philanthropy, on some level, is something everyone can connect to. That passion has been a meaningful part of my Kappa experience and a huge part of my “why.”

“I chose Kappa because the conversations and laughters I had were unforgettable. It truly felt like a special place and somewhere I saw myself meeting my second family. The girls I’ve met and friendships I’ve already made have truly proved this. It’s a place of inclusion, laughter, beauty, and strength which are all things I try to represent myself. Kappas philanthropy also means so much to me as someone who’s experienced mental health affecting their life first hand. A family connection made even sweeter through sisterhood 💙✨

When Shelby Stevens, UC Santa Barbara, spent time with her cousin, Helen Jamison, Nebraska, during a family vacation this summer, they shared more than just family ties—they shared Kappa, too! 🗝️

What started as a bond between cousins has grown into a shared sisterhood and memorable Kappa experience. We love seeing how Kappa brings members closer together — across campuses, chapters, and generations. 💙

Leadership Academy 2026: 10/10 would do it all again. 🏕️💙

From singing around the campfire to bonding with our color groups, it was amazing to see all the friendships made at Camp Kappa. And so many of you stepped out of your comfort zones, challenged yourselves, and grew as leaders this weekend. We’re so proud!
