The Valley of Columbus wishes to thank the Ohio Council of Deliberation for hosting a wonderful annual meeting in Toledo, Ohio this year.

Honored recipients of the prestigious Meritorious Service Award at this year’s event were esteemed members of the Valley of Columbus: Mark Aldridge, Greg Adams, and Scott Evans (receiving his MSA from the Valley of Gallipolis for his outstanding service to that valley before becoming an officer in our valley).

Congratulations to Ill. Bro. Kory Weldy, 33°, for being selected as Prior for the Ohio Council of Deliberation and for his eloquent Invocation and Benediction at our meeting.

The “Meritorious Service Award” is conferred upon members of the Rite who have attained the 32nd Degree and who by reason of meritorious service of a Masonic character, are deemed worthy of such recognition. The M.S.A. can only be awarded by a State Council of Deliberation to a member in good standing for outstanding or significant services performed within the Scottish Rite.

The Valley of Columbus is proud of their example of selfless dedication and unwavering commitment to our craft. They are exemplary men to which we owe our gratitude and praise. They will continue to shine light on our fraternity for years to come and we are grateful to have them in our ranks. Well done, Sirs!

The Valley of Columbus is made up of around 3400 members from Central Ohio, consisting of 25 counties, from the Valley of Firelands south to the Valley of Gallipolis.

The Valley of the Firelands is the home for SR Masons in North-Central Ohio, the rural area between Toledo and Cleveland. It is so named because land grants were given to early settlers who had lost their property to British raids during the American Revolution.

The Valley of Gallipolis is located in the South-Central Ohio counties along the Ohio River.
