Monday Night Recap!
The 2026-27 Wendt year is officially underway! Our Welcome Picnic brought together Scholars, Ambassadors, mentors, staff, and Advisory Board members to reconnect, meet new faces, and celebrate the start of another year of character growth and purpose-driven leadership. Whether making new friends or strengthening existing relationships, the evening was filled with energy, laughter, and excitement for the semester ahead.
The evening also highlighted one of the most meaningful aspects of the Wendt experience: the community that develops when people come together with a shared commitment to character and service. Reflecting on the year ahead, second-year Scholar Kiah Wendt shared what she is looking forward to most this upcoming year:
"What I'm looking forward to most is the sense of community that develops throughout the year. There is something powerful about bringing together people who are passionate about character and service, and I'm grateful for the ways that experience strengthens my own servant leadership journey."
Scholars also received their workbooks, a new resource for learning about and reflecting on character virtues, and launched right into thinking about why we serve others and the issues we see in the world that need our help.
Overall, it was an invigorating start to a brand-new school year of character growth, meaningful connections, servant leadership, and the exploration of purpose. We can't wait to see what this year holds!
