A UNH first! 👶💙

Nursing and CSD students teamed up for our first pediatric IPE simulation. They supported feeding and swallowing for a simulated infant with RSV and led an informed decision-making discussion with mom.

Students collaborated to assess the infant’s respiratory status and feeding safety, and develop a shared plan of care. Students engaged the mom in an informed decision-making conversation, explaining options, benefits and possible risks, answering her questions, and respecting her role as the expert on her child.

IPE + simulation = high-impact learning: real teamwork, real communication, and real reflection in a safe space to grow. 🌱

Thank you to our students, faculty, and simulation team for making this possible. This is the first of many!
