We’re excited to announce a new transfer partnership between Durham Tech and Meredith College 🤝

The Strong Futures Transfer Agreement creates a pathway for qualified Durham Tech students to earn their bachelor’s degree at Meredith.

Students who complete an associate degree and maintain a 2.5 GPA are guaranteed admission to Meredith and will receive dedicated transfer advising, early academic planning, transfer credit evaluation, a minimum of $10,000 in financial assistance, and personalized support throughout the transfer process.

It's almost time for our annual Trunk or Treat event! 🎃 Bring the family to Main Campus on Thursday, Oct. 29, from 6–8 p.m. for an evening of fun!

Please note that this is a family-friendly event, so we ask that all costumes be family-friendly, too. No masks are allowed for adults, but masks are welcome for children.

This event is open to the entire Durham community. We hope to see you there!

Durham Tech EMS has unveiled a new state-of-the-art immersive room and ambulance simulator at the Orange County Campus designed to provide students with realistic, high-pressure emergency response training. 🚑

The new training environment allows instructors to simulate a wide range of emergency scenarios by altering lighting, temperature, sounds, surroundings, and even smells, to mirror real-life situations EMS workers and paramedics encounter in the field.

What better way to celebrate 10 years of our AFA program than by bringing back talented alumni to showcase their work? 🎨

Last week, Durham Tech’s Viva the Arts hosted a reception and awards ceremony for the AFA Alumni Exhibition, celebrating the creativity and accomplishments of our graduates.

This Sunday, we’re officially launching WHOLE SUM, our newest farm stand bringing together fresh produce and products from NC farmers who can’t always make it to the market.

More variety for shoppers. More opportunities for farmers. More ways to keep our local food system growing.

Many parts. Intentionally assembled.

We’re also teaming up with the City of Durham’s Office of the Mayor for The Together Table, bringing music, cooking demos, kids’ activities, and good food to the market while raising awareness about food insecurity.

Come check out WHOLE SUM, shop with our farmers and entrepreneurs, and spend your Sunday with us!

The Durham Early College of Health Sciences (DECHS) documentary launches on YouTube on Tuesday, October 27 at 4 pm. Learn the origins of DECHS and follow three students from the inaugural class as they prepare for the first day of their second year at the new high school.
