We were excited to welcome students back for the first day of school! Durham Alumnae Chapter Sorors greeted students with cheers, applause, and words of encouragement as they entered the building.

The morning’s welcome was coordinated and led by the chapter’s Educational Development Committee.

We are grateful to First Calvary for their kind words of appreciation and for the opportunity to serve alongside so many dedicated volunteers. Together, we helped provide essential resources, encouragement, and love to families throughout our community.

Our Sorors with Style: Embodying the Platinum Rule of Sisterhood series was just what we needed as we prepare for our 2026 Chapter Retreat: Sisterhood in Full Bloom! đŸŒș

With 300+ Sorors joining us, we discovered our individual styles, learned more about one another, and explored how to communicate, connect, and work together in ways that strengthen our Sisterhood.

Because when we take the time to understand one another, we create space for our relationships—and our Sisterhood—to BLOOM. đŸŒș

We learned. We laughed. We connected. And now we’re ready to put the Platinum Rule into practice!

| Leadership ‱ Vision ‱ Sisterhood ‱ Service
 
On Saturday, Aug. 8, the Durham Alumnae Chapter leadership team came together for our 2026–2027 Leadership Meeting, marking a strong and purposeful start to the year.
 
We connected, collaborated, and aligned around a shared vision for the months ahead.
Grounded in our theme, Strength in Sisterhood, Power in Service, we focused on strengthening sisterhood, developing and empowering leaders, enhancing cross-committee collaboration, and improving communication and accountability.
 
A meaningful highlight of the day was each leader sharing a one-word intention for the year. Together, these words formed a powerful collective message, reminding us that leadership is defined not only by action, but by intention, presence, and the way we support one another in service.
 
We concluded with a shared commitment to lead with integrity, communicate with purpose, uplift one another, and serve with excellence.
 
Today was more than planning; it was about building the team that will lead the work ahead.
 
The foundation is set, the vision is clear, and the commitment is strong.
 
Now, we are ready to get to work and continue the great work of !

The Durham Alumnae Chapter was well represented at the 32nd South Atlantic Region Conference!

From sisterhood and service to learning, leadership and unforgettable moments, our sorors embraced every opportunity to connect, celebrate and be inspired alongside our dynamic South Atlantic Region.

We returned home energized, empowered and ready to continue the work of Delta in Durham and beyond. Because when Delta women gather, the impact is undeniable!
