Yesterday's PA Day celebration was a blast! As we celebrated the profession, we also honored the birthday of Dr. Eugene Stead, founder of the PA profession. It's always special to celebrate PA Day right here at the place where it all started and reflect on the impact PAs make every day across the country.

-Tuesday includes our PA Day Celebration and Duke Blue/Duke apparel day.

-Wednesday is Alma Mater Day.

-Thursday is Twin Day.

Shout out to our students and newest alum for their exciting accomplishments!

Second-year student Isabelle Llabona was selected as a PAEA Future Educator Fellow.

Second-year student Brenda Martinez was selected for the PAEA Health Policy Fellowship.

Recent Class of 2026 graduate Efrainy Contreras received the Society of PAs in Otorhinolaryngology and Head and Neck Surgery (SPAO-HNS) Student Scholarship.

Just like that, the Class of 2028 is officially here! Yesterday, we welcomed students to campus for orientation! As part of orientation, students completed a building scavenger hunt and a "speed dating" style icebreaker before heading out for DPAP Community Day service projects. (If you look closely, you might spot some familiar faces from our faculty and staff out in service with students!)

We canā€™t wait to see all that they will do here at DPAP!
