Small classes. Supportive faculty. Hands-on learning. Career connections.

Those were some of the common themes we heard from alumni as they reflected on how NEIT helped them launch their careers. This week, they were back on campus for our Fall Recruitment Fair, representing their employers and connecting with current NEIT students.

We love seeing our alumni come full circle and help open doors for the next generation of NEIT graduates. Alongside our alumni, employer partners from a wide range of industries joined us to recruit students and discuss career opportunities.

Thanks to Career Services, our employer partners, alumni, students, and everyone who made the event a success!

Today, NEIT and General Dynamics Electric Boat announced a major expansion of our workforce partnership through the new Shipbuilding Advanced Institute for Learning (SAIL) to prepare the next generation of submarine industry talent.

NEIT’s Post Road campus will triple its training space from 30,000 to 100,000 square feet becoming Electric Boat’s primary workforce training center in Rhode Island.

SAIL will train approximately 3,000 new EB hires each year, with more than 20 classrooms supporting hands-on training in welding, shipfitting, pipefitting, machining, sheet metal, paint and electrical.

For more than a decade, NEIT and Electric Boat have worked together to prepare skilled workers for the submarine industry. More than 4,500 new Electric Boat employees have already trained at NEIT, with thousands more career employees completing continuing education.

We’re now significantly expanding that work to help meet the demand for 8,000 new Electric Boat employees.

What does hands-on learning look like in an online Speech-Language Pathology master's program? It looks like Immersion Week at New England Tech!

Recently, students in our MS-SLP program gathered on campus to strengthen clinical skills, collaborate with classmates and faculty, and bring their online learning to life.

Through online coursework, clinical placements in their local communities, and immersive on-campus training, students are preparing to support individuals with communication and swallowing needs across the lifespan.

At NEIT, flexibility and experiential learning go hand in hand.
