Please join us in spotlighting one of our sisters in her leadership position!

Sydney is currently a senior in biochemistry on the pre-vet track and is our Fall 2026 Scholarship Chair! She spent her summer working for an equine vet and hanging out with her two Bernese Mountain Dogs!

Sydney joined Sigma Alpha to strengthen her connections in agriculture and be a part of a community. While she didn’t grow up in agriculture, since coming to Michigan State and joining Sigma Alpha, Sydney has found she loves the opportunities she’s been given to grow in the field.

Her intelligence and passion for learning show in everything she does, so we know Sydney will do great in this position, and we’re looking forward to seeing what she has planned!💚💛

Join us in spotlighting our sister Kendra and her Scout/Retail Internship at Nutrien Ag Solutions! She has spent the season scouting specialty crops such as apples, peaches, cherries, blueberries, and pears. Throughout the summer, Kendra has learned to identify pests and diseases while also building connections with growers and consultants. Her enthusiasm to learn and grow has surely allowed her to make the most out of this incredible experience! We’re so proud of our sister- keep up the great work, Kendra! 💚💛🍏

WE’RE WILD ABOUT FALL RECRUITMENT! 🌺🐆

Mark your calendars — Sigma Alpha Fall Recruitment is coming up September 14–17! Come get to know our sisters, learn what Sig A is all about, and see if our sisterhood could be the place for you. 💌

All recruitment events begin at 7 PM in Anthony Hall Room 1279, but doors open at 6:30 PM! Come early to hang out, talk with our sisters, ask questions, and get to know us before the night officially begins. 💗

Today we are spotlighting our sister and fellowship chair Karlee McCracken for her summer internship! She is working as a crop scouting/agronomist/salesman intern in Ithaca, MI. She is currently working on a project called Spornados, which are funnels that catch spore diseases in the air. This prepares them for diseases and allows them to take a strong mode of action before it’s too late. She is looking forward to learning more about disease specific preventions and treatments! We know Karlee will gain plenty of hands on experience that she can use in her future classes and work! 💚💛
