Congratulations to Global Health Institute faculty member and MSU College of Nursing Professor Dr. Courtney Sullivan! Her lab’s poster examining the readiness of pediatric cancer centers in Malawi, the Philippines and Singapore was recognized as one of the Top 10 Nursing Posters at this year’s International Society of Pediatric Oncology (SIOP) Conference.

The SIOP Conference is the world’s leading multidisciplinary conference dedicated to research in childhood and adolescent cancer. Dr. Sullivan and her lab’s research show the continued value of global coordination and the solutions Spartans continue to drive worldwide.

Join Global Health Studies for the October edition of our GHS Speaker Series!

On Thursday, October 8, Dr. Dhanu Thiyag, Assistant Professor of Obstetrics and Gynecology and Affiliated Faculty of Biomedical Engineering at the University of Michigan, will present "Bridging Medicine and Engineering: Innovation in Global Women's Health."

In this free webinar, Dr. Thiyag will discuss her work designing and clinically evaluating medical devices and simulation-based medical education programs for women's health equity.

In 2008, a meeting in Trujillo, Peru, sparked what would become an 18-year-and-counting partnership between Michigan State University and Universidad César Vallejo (UCV). What started as an effort to introduce osteopathic medicine and provide medical services to Peruvian communities has evolved into a years-long partnership that advances research, expands education opportunities, and strengthens healthcare delivery.
