Thanks to our AEPLP partners nationwide for a powerful 2026 DC Symposium! Make sure to check out our In Focus newsletter at the end of the month about the start of our Michigan EPLP and AEPLP years!

Last week, the 2026-27 Advanced Education Policy Leadership Program (AEPLP) Fellows spent two days in DC talking to association leaders, lobbyists, journalists, researchers, and Congressional staffers as they kicked off this year's consideration of "Strategic Leadership in Uncertain Times."

However ambiguous the current moment is, we're certain about how much we enjoy supporting this program that brings together EPLP/EPFP alums and coordinators from Kansas-Missouri, Michigan, Minnesota, New York, Ohio, and Pennsylvania!

It reviews the 2026 Advancing Youth Physical Activity Workshop with University of Michigan School of Kinesiology and MSU Kinesiology, shares some emerging MSU EPIC research, and checks in on policy developments in Lansing and DC.
