We are pleased to invite you to Meditate & Connect, a mindfulness gathering open to the public.
As the Fall semester begins, this event offers an opportunity to step away from the demands of academic life, reduce stress, and cultivate mindfulness.
The program includes a guided 30-minute meditation followed by a 30-minute discussion where participants can reflect, share experiences, and build connections.
Whether you're completely new to meditation or have an established practice, you are warmly welcome to join us.
The session will be led by Rev. Bhante Sankichcha from the Great Lakes Buddhist Vihara (https://glbvihara.org/).

Date: August 21 (Friday), 2026
Time: 5.30 - 6.30 PM
Venue: Room 2130, STEM Teaching and Learning Facility (642
Red Cedar Rd, East Lansing, MI)

The venue provides chairs. A limited number of floor mats (paduru) will also be available. If you prefer sitting on the floor, feel free to bring your own yoga mat or cushion.

We hope you'll join us for an hour of relaxation, mindfulness, and meaningful connection.
Please share this invitation with anyone who may be interested.
We look forward to seeing you!

With so many people being affected there are numerous methods to make donations. We at the SLSA of MSU will not be collecting donations, but instead we want to point you toward official donation channels, where we know the money is being used to help and support those affected by the floods. If you can, please consider donating, every little bit can help rebuild the country and help those in need.
