MSU Recycling Center When Michigan State University goes green, it goes to the MSU Surplus Store and Recycling Center.

Our goal is to keep the MSU community as green as possible by keeping our materials out of landfills, and we do that in a lot of ways.

Make your voice heard! The public comment period for Ingham County’s draft Materials Management Plan is now open. The new MMP will replace Ingham County’s existing Solid Waste Management Plan and will establish long term goals and strategies for improving recycling and composting access, reducing waste sent to landfills, and strengthening overall materials management systems across the County.

Ingham County will accept comments through November 24, 2026. Comments can be sent to [email protected], or they can be given at the public hearing scheduled for October 27, 2026.
