MSU Department of Family Medicine Better health for people and communities

The Department of Family Medicine in the College of Human Medicine plays a critical role in addressing the challenges of achieving cost-effective, high-quality, and stakeholder-engaged healthcare throughout Michigan and beyond. Family Medicine, the foundation of primary and preventive care, does this by addressing environmental, psychosocial, and socioeconomic challenges to health. Family Medicine

is intent on taking a leadership position in addressing the challenges of transforming both the healthcare workforce and the delivery of healthcare; to ensure that they are aligned with dramatically changing opportunities largely driven by patients, workforce, financial, and technological issues.
