MSU’s adaptive sports community (led by 2x MSU College of Education alum Piotr Pasik!) is helping para-athletes from across mid-Michigan build skills, confidence and community through inclusive recreation opportunities. It’s a powerful example of how access to sport can make a meaningful difference.

Since 2007, the Post-BA World Language Teacher Certification Program (WLTCP) offers a high-quality, cost-effective 2-year pathway to a rewarding career in language education for individuals who hold a bachelor’s degree in any field and are fluent in Spanish or Mandarin Chinese. You will earn both a teaching certificate AND a Master’s Degree!

The 1st year consists of an internship with a veteran mentor teacher in Michigan school districts. The 2nd year offers a residency placement where you will be a teacher-of-record in a US school district, with Michigan State University College of Education support and coursework. Talk about excellent work experience!

The program starts fall semester (August), but we take applicants year-round so it’s always a good time to apply! (See QR code below or link in comments.)

Office of International Studies in Education (OISE) supports WLTCP as part of its role in advancing global perspectives in teaching, research, and outreach.
