Day 2 of the 3rd Annual ESU ABA Bootcamp!

Today, we're "in school"—exploring how to bring high-quality, evidence-based ABA practices into school settings. Participants asked thoughtful, real-world questions, shared experiences, and learned practical strategies from our expert presenters to better support students.

We also celebrated the strength of our ABA community with great conversations and delicious homemade zucchini cookies, generously shared by one of our participants!

We're looking forward to Day 3!

Day 3 of the Things That Matter Writing Retreat with the Pocono Writing Project 🌿✏️
Today, participants explored how to bring students' funds of knowledge into the classroom through an asset based approach. 🍎With snowball writing❄, free writing, and perspective taking, ESU pre-service teachers designed lessons that fostered student voice, ownership, and meaningful connections to learning.
Learning begins by recognizing the strengths every student already brings.

Day 1 of the Things That Matter Writing Retreat with the Pocono Writing Project 🎨✍️
Today, participants explored the Pocono WritingProject to them through both writing and painting during a special session led by Peters Valley School of Craft.
By slowing down, observing, and creating, writers discovered new perspectives on familiar objects.

One participant reflected: "I feel like the painting helped me notice things about my object that I didn’t before."
Sometimes, paying close attention reveals stories that were there all along.
📸 Participants proudly sharing their painted objects and the stories behind them.

So thankful to have k12 school partners who understand the importance of field experience. It takes a village to create a Warrior teacher!

Over 200 future educators from ESU’s College of Education gained hands-on experience through field experience and student teaching during the Spring 2026 academic semester.

So proud of all of our graduates. Go out and show everyone the Warrior way!

So proud of all of our graduates. Go out and show everyone the Warrior way!

This past Friday, East Stroudsburg University proudly celebrated five students as they graduated from the Career, Independent Living & Learning Studies (CILLS) program.

Hosted though the Department of Special Education and Rehabilitation, the CILLS program helps participants with disabilities pursue a meaningful college experience where they can learn, build friendships, grow their confidence, and work toward their goals of living and working in an inclusive community.
