Outside of their studies, our fall cohort of engineers in Madrid have been going on a lot of fun trips, like the beautiful El Retiro Park in central Madrid.

They went to Salamanca, an ancient university town in western Spain. The Old City of Salamanca is a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Besalú, in the northeast of Spain, is a medieval town with incredible architecture. The Besalú bridge is one of the town’s most notable features.

Outside of Girona, our engineers visited a 200-year-old olive grove to match Lafayette’s bicentennial!

Our UK Healthcare summer program got to go on lots of fun field trips, including to Stonehenge and the Roman Baths!

Stonehenge is a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the prehistoric stone formation remains a sociological and cultural mystery. There are various theories as to the purpose of its construction, including usage as a burial ground, ritual site, and an observatory to predict astronomical events.

The temple in the Roman Baths was built in the first century during Roman Britain, and the actual bathing area was expanded over the next few hundred years. The Baths were then redeveloped a few times during the Middle Ages. Super fascinating historical site, but we don’t recommend bathing there anymore!
