We specialize in serving the restoration industry, but many others use our maps and expertise of forensic meteorologists! Hail Trace uses our knowledge in severe weather forecasting to give companies a head start on their competition at restoring the lives of those in need. In addition to our forecast abilities we create hail maps that show the exact path hail storms take and overlay that swath on a Google map.

HAIL FORECAST:
Hail is possible across the Midwest and East Coast today, especially with stronger storms developing ahead of or near the main complex across Ohio, Pennsylvania and the Mid-Atlantic. Hail is secondary to wind today, and the setup does not strongly support a widespread very large-hail event.

Tomorrow is an interesting set up with 2 rounds of storms (morning & evening) across the Plains with a conditional hail threat with discrete supercells. Widespread severe weather is also likely across the Mid-Atlantic with large hail possible in a few storms.

Powerful straight-line winds, heavy rain, frequent lightning and isolated hail is likely today from Ohio and Pennsylvania into Virginia and North Carolina.

The most active storms are expected this afternoon and evening, with some activity continuing overnight. Saturday, the threat shifts south toward the central Appalachians and Carolinas, while isolated hail and wind become possible across the northern Plains.

Extreme heat continues across the Plains and Mississippi Valley, while cooler air begins spreading into the Northeast.

๐Ÿš› Before you drive there...

Every storm creates the same three decisions:
๐ŸŸข Work it.
๐Ÿ”ด Skip it.
๐ŸŸก Go back.

The best contractors don't chase every storm. They decide which storms deserve their time.

With HailTrace, you can compare storm history, identify the peril, review hail size and volume, see property counts, and even overlay newer and older storms to uncover potential Honey Holes that others may overlook.
Before your team spends another day, another tank of gas, or another marketing dollar...
Make sure you're driving to the right place.

Severe storms could leave two parts of the country with large hail and impactful winds, today.

A level 3 risk stretches across parts of the eastern Great Lakes and Northeast, where storms are expected to strengthen this afternoon and move from western New York and Pennsylvania toward the Mid-Atlantic. Impactful winds are the main concern, but large hail and a few tornadoes are also possible.

Out west in northern and central Montana, another Slight Risk storm system is expected to develop over the northern Rockies. Isolated hail and impactful winds are the main concern, with additional storms across Wyoming, Colorado and parts of Nebraska.

Down in southern Texas, Tropical Depression Edouard remains a major flooding concern, after producing extreme rainfall. More torrential rainfall can worsen ongoing flash flooding areas as the system continues to weaken.
