There's nothing quite like patriotic music on a warm summer evening — and this one comes with ice cream. 🇺🇸🎶

LibertyFest's "Concert in the Park" returns to the lawn next to Mitchell Hall Theatre at the University of Central Oklahoma for a free, family-friendly evening of live patriotic music performed by the LibertyFest Community Band. Bring your lawn chairs and blankets, gather the whole family and plan to stay for ice cream following the performance. 🍦

🎺 Musicians — this one's for you. Community band members are invited to perform with us this Fourth of July. Whether you played in high school, college or just never put down your instrument, there's a seat for you. Sign up at go.uco.edu/libertyfest.

Channel 9 featured Dr. Brian Lamb ahead of Saturday's farewell concert, and it's worth a watch. After 25 years leading UCO's Wind Symphony — and 37 years in music education — Dr. Lamb steps down with one final performance. Former students are traveling from across the country to be in the audience, and some are joining him on stage.

Congrats to Jimmy Miller and Trever Spruill, who were selected to present their research at the National Conference for Undergraduate Research on April 12-15 in Richmond, Virginia! The two UCO students were among only nine undergraduate students in the nation who presented musicological research at the conference.

Thanks also to Dr. Danielle Herrington, who was Trever and Jimmy's research mentor and accompanied to the conference.
