Oklahoma Christian Alpha Chi National Honor Society Alpha Chi is an academic honor society that promotes academic excellence and exemplary character among college university students.

Alpha Chi is a national college academic honor society. Since 1922, its purpose has been to promote academic excellence and exemplary character among college and university students and to honor those who achieve such distinction. Membership is limited to the top 10 percent of juniors and seniors.

In our final graduating senior post, this year's Alpha Chi President is Cody Ray Milner! Cody is graduating with a 4.0 GPA with degrees in both Political Science and American History, and will graduate as a university Honors Fellow. He has been nominated for the Rhodes Fellowship and Truman Fellowship, and received the Newman Fellowship and Nigh Fellowship. Cody also serves as president of the Pi Sigma Alpha Political Science Honors Society and Phi Alpha Theta History Honors Society, and previously served as OC's Student Government Vice President. He has published/is publishing seven academic papers and presented research in academic conferences across the nation. After graduation, Cody plans on attending law school in Washington, D.C.

This week's fantastic graduating senior is Emmy Oehlert!

Emmy is graduating with a 4.0 and as a member of Psi Chi, the psychology honors society. She majors is Sport, Wellness, and Recreation with a minor in psychology. She is currently training to be a personal trainer with an emphasis in behavior change. Emmy is part of a research team for UShine's Healthy Brain, Healthy Mind, has previously been Spring Sing director, apparel/ events/ historian and athletic director for the social service club Pi Zeta Phi, and she is a mentor for OC's bridge program. Emmy will be receiving her personal trainer certification in April, then getting married to her fiance, Kai Jorgensen, in May.

This week's great graduating senior is Cora Russell!

Cora is an Elementary Education major graduating with a 4.0 as part of Pi Lambda Theta, the Education Honor Society. She's a member of Phi Omega Nu and is involved with Taking Sides Chapel, although she's had to step back this semester while student teaching. After graduation, she will working at Global English School, a bilingual school in Thailand!

This week's awesome graduating senior is Elizabeth Johnson!

Elizabeth is a Marketing Management major and member of Delta Mu Delta National Business School Honor Society, as well as OC's chapter of the American Marketing Association and the Iota Kappa Phi social service club. After graduation, she plans on staying in the Oklahoma City area and finding a job related to branding or non-profit marketing.

This week's fantastic graduating senior is Hannah Johnson!

Hannah is graduating with a 4.0 and a Marketing Management degree. She has been recognized by the Delta Mu Delta Honor Society as well as the Alpha Chi Honor Society, and has also received the "Who's Who in The School of Business" award for the past 3 years. Hannah has worked for Oklahoma Christian as an independent student researcher and is a member of the social service club Iota Kappa Phi. After graduation, Hannah will be getting married to her fiancé Cody Dawson in June, and plans to find work somewhere with her husband.

This week's awesome graduating senior is Megan McKinley!

Megan is graduating with a B.A. in English and a B.S. in Political Science. Megan has been a Marshall and Truman scholar nominee for OC and an outstanding delegate in the 2016 and 2017 Model Arab League competition. She competes with the OC women’s swim team and the OC intercollegiate ethics bowl team, and is an officer in the OC debate club, Phi Omega Nu Social Service Club, and Sigma Tau Delta English Honors Society. She plans on attending Penn Law in the fall.

This spring, OC's chapter of Alpha Chi wants to recognize some of our fantastic graduating seniors! Starting us off this week is Caleb Stewart!

Caleb is a Communication Design Major with an emphasis in Marketing Management. He has been awarded Eagle Media’s “Person of the Week,” and has received the McCormack Scholar award for Study Abroad. Caleb is a member of the Kappa Sigma Tau social service club and is a percussionist in the Symphonic Band. Caleb is also Vice President of Creative Design for the American Marketing Association. After graduation, he plans on staying in the Edmond/OKC area and working with graphic or web design.

As a member of Alpha there are some scholarships and fellowships that are possible for you. If you are interested in either a scholarship or fellowship, please contact Dr. John Harrison.
