What an exciting evening for our 4-H’ers! 🎉

Last night, we had the opportunity to host a 4-H workshop at the Lake Land College Innovation Center in Effingham. Youth participants learned about 3-D printing by using a design program to create their own key chain and then watched as their creations were printed on the 3-D printers!

The group also got to explore the virtual reality room and even got to take a turn “walking the plank” in VR. 😲

It was a fun night full of hands-on learning, creativity, and technology exploration. Thank you to the Innovation Center staff for hosting such a great experience for our 4-H members! 💚🍀

Hello everyone! My name is Breanna Shull and I am beyond excited to begin my role as the new Extension Program Coordinator for Clay County 4-H! I'm from Dieterich, IL where I was born and raised. I recently graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a degree in Agriculture Business. I have a deep passion for the agriculture community and love getting to know others! In my free time, you can find me spending time outdoors and hanging out with my family and friends. I cannot wait to start meeting all of the members and make a positive impact in the Clay County 4-H community!

We’re hiring an Extension Educator for Health and Community Wellness (Food and Health Systems).

This position plays a key role in proving research-based wellness education and outreach across our communities. This educator will develop and lead programs for youth and adults, provide subject-matter expertise, and work with local partners to expand Extensions impact.
