Located on Grossmont College campus in San Diego, American Collegiate English "ACE" is an intensive English program for international students. ACE improves your English skills so you may attend a college or university in the United States. ACE offers a summer 8-week session and fall and spring 14-week sessions. Each session consists of 20 hours per week of intermediate-level English instruction in grammar and writing, speaking and listening, reading and vocabulary, and American pronunciation.

Do you know the benefits of community college?

2+2=4! Many U.S. students — and about 100,000 international students — attend a U.S. community college for the first 2 years of their bachelor's degree. Grossmont College students transfer to SDSU, UC San Diego, UCLA, USD, etc. to finish the last 2 years of the 4-year degree. An international student counselor will guide you at every step.

LOWER COST - Community college tuition is 1/2 or 1/3 of university's.
TRANSFER AGREEMENTS with CSU / UC schools
OPT - Work after a 2-year degree; transfer; work again after the 4-year degree.
EASY ADMISSION - Lower TOEFL/ DUOLINGO score requirement
SMALLER CLASSES - More one-on-one attention for students
SUPPORTIVE ENVIRONMENT - ESL classes, free tutoring
