Grossmont College's Criminal Justice program has a chapter of the American Criminal Justice Association's Lambda Alpha Epsilon (GXX). This is a national organization that was founded by August Vollmer in 1937. Its purpose is to foster creative thinking, establish professional networks that may help with future employment, to help promote higher standards of educational attainment among public saf

ety members. Membership: is $42 (cash or check) to join initially, with annual dues. Applications are available in the AOJ office room 31-360, the new Forensic Lab room 34-111, and we will have them at every club meeting. To become a member simply fill out an application and pay the initial membership dues ($42). You can turn in the application and dues at the AOJ office or any of our monthly meetings. LAE members also take field trips, such as to the SDPD Crime Lab, the SDSO Bomb Arson Range, ICE Detention Center, and the San Diego Medical Examiners Office. Many of our members have gone on to careers in law enforcement, corrections, court operations, and forensics. Monthly meetings are currently held on the first Friday of each month. On Grossmont College campus in room 34-150 at 6pm (unless specified otherwise).
