A water main break on Butler’s El Dorado campus yesterday resulted in all classes moving to virtual learning today. As you can imagine in nursing, practicing lab skills virtually doesn’t give the hands on experience we want for our nursing students.

Fortunately, with the recent partnership with Susan B Allen Memorial Hospital, 2nd semester students had the opportunity to utilize the newly opened training center while the main campus was temporarily closed.

“I am so excited to pursue my dream of helping people by attending the nursing program at Butler. I have been working in a hospital setting for over two years now, and being able to help people in their most vulnerable times and having them trust me has been the most valuable work I have ever done.
