Before sunrise on June 6, 1944, thousands of young men stepped into history.
Many knew the odds.
Many knew they might never return.
Yet they moved forward.
Not for recognition.
Not for fame.
But out of duty to their country, to each other, and to future generations they would never meet.
On this D-Day anniversary, Fraternity Lodge No. 1111 A.F. & A.M. remembers the courage displayed on the beaches of Normandy and the tremendous sacrifice made in the cause of freedom.
Their actions remind us that some of lifeβs greatest responsibilities require us to place something greater than ourselves first.
Today, we honor those who served, those who sacrificed, and those who never came home.
May their sacrifice never be forgotten. π«‘πΊπΈ
