Keshara Wiley received her bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Elizabeth City State University in 2016. Keshara is presently working as a Quality Control Chemist at Pfizer Pharmaceutical in Rocky Mount, North Carolina. This facility employs about 3000 workers, majority of them being scientists. 25% of the sterile injectable used in US hospitals are produced at this Pfizer site in North Carolina. This manufacturing site is 1.4 million square feet on 250 acres of land in eastern North Carolina. 400 million units of anesthesia, analgesic, therapeutic and/or anti-infectives are shipped annually from this facility around the world.

As a chemist, Keshara plays a key role in analyzing drug products before they are distributed for public usages. She is responsible for preparing solutions, and maintaining laboratory instruments to ensure correct component analysis. Keshara is a part of the group of scientists who are validating new methods and new products before mass public usages. Since entering Pfizer as a chemist, she has been a part of the key projects to bring new drug products, methods, and 5S regulation into the laboratory. Outside of work Keshara enjoys traveling with her friends and family.
