AKA - Omega Psi Omega Chapter Omega Psi Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc serving Elizabeth, NJ and the surrounding area of Union County.

Omega Psi Omega is an official chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Chartered on December 16, 2017, Omega Psi Omega is based in Elizabeth, New Jersey. We serve that city, as well as other cities and towns in the northeastern region of Union County, i.e. Rahway, Elizabeth, Union, Roselle and Linden. The objectives of the chapter are the following:
a) Cultivate and encourage high sc

holastic and ethical standards, to promote unity and friendship among college educated women
b) Promote the advancement of women through volunteer service to the community
c) Study and help alleviate problems concerning girls and women in order to improve their social stature
d) Carry out on a local level problems of the national body and to be of service to all mankind

May is Mental Health Awareness Month. It is a time to raise awareness, reduce stigma and encourage healing within our communities.

Join the Omega Psi Omega chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated ® for an important and timely Mental Health Awareness Workshop presented by Dr. Moses McKenzie, Jr. This workshop will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 20th.

Let’s continue creating safe spaces for honest conversations, education, support and wellness. Together, we can help break the stigma surrounding mental health.

Today, we pause to remember the brave men, and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Theirs and their families’ sacrifices secured the freedoms we enjoy every day, and their courage will never be forgotten.

As Brigadier General Edith P. Mitchell reminds us, “Service is the rent we pay for the privilege of living on this earth.”

This Memorial Day, we honor our fallen heroes with gratitude, reflection, and respect.

The Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated®, Omega Psi Omega Chapter is rolling up our sleeves for a Community Garden Clean Up! We are cleaning up and replanting a community garden for our seniors, and we need your help. Come volunteer and help beautify the Sampson Center Community Garden and make a lasting impact together.

Event Details:
Date & Time: Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 9am-12 pm.
Location: Stephen Sampson Senior Center, 800 Anna Street, Elizabeth, NJ 07206.
