Workers who have been laid off from several major regional employers are encouraged to apply for employment and training assistance through the Kentucky Career Center–Lincoln Trail's National Dislocated Worker Grant program.

The grant is designed to assist workers affected by layoffs at:

✅ BlueOval SK Battery Park (Glendale)
✅ Akebono (Elizabethtown)
✅ Kentucky Cooperage (Lebanon)
✅ Moveret (Elizabethtown)

The program also has flexibility to assist workers impacted by other company closures or layoffs. Eligible participants may receive career coaching, job search assistance, resume and interview preparation, skills training, on-the-job training opportunities, and support services such as transportation or work-related expenses.

Career TEAM, the program's direct service provider, will contact individuals who complete the online interest form within 48 hours to discuss available services and next steps
