Come visit with Joel French, Director of the Human Performance Lab, and RecWell's Personal Trainers to learn about the new Built from the Basics 3-part seminar this semester, which aims to teach you how to create a weekly workout and how to fuel your work outs to meet your goals! Get to know RecWell today, Wednesday, August 26, by stopping at the SWAG table in the BSC from 11am-1pm and again in the Bowers Center Lower Lounge from 3-5pm. Our Student Wellness Advocacy Group (SWAGs) are students dedicated to promoting healthier lifestyles on campus through programs and educational opportunities. They also staff the Well! Located on the second floor of the Bowers Center, the Well offers health and wellness information and resources, along with free over-the-counter health supplies such as band-aids, OTC medicines, sexual health supplies and two new massage chairs! SWAGs also help with the Relaxation Room, a quiet place to unwind and de-stress. Within our Health Promotion area, we also offer nutrition counseling and programming in our Demonstration Kitchen, such as healthy grab and go food options and cooking classes! Join RecWell and for the Clubs and Orgs Fair & Jay Play Day on Friday, August 28 in the Bowers Center Fieldhouse! From 2 - 5 p.m. enjoy activities such as a photo booth, make and take street signs, Dart Soccer, Tic Tac Toss, a face painter, a caricature artist and lots of yard and sports games! You can also visit with all of Etown's clubs and organizations as well as find information on different campus services and available student worker positions! All events are while supplies last.

To promote a healthy and active lifestyle, starting Fall 2026, RecWell will provide unstructured, drop-in access to the Bowers Center Fieldhouse on Courts 2 and 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.

Open Recreation (“Open Rec”) hours are intended to provide Elizabethtown College members with the opportunity to independently participate in safe, inclusive, informal recreational and fitness activities for wellness, enjoyment, and leisure during designated midday hours.

Open Rec time is available on a first come, first serve basis to currently enrolled students, faculty and staff with a valid Etown ID. All participants must check in at the Welcome Desk before entering the fieldhouse.
