From exploring behind-the-scenes theater production to hosting a show on 88.1 The ’Burg and serving as a CWU Student Trustee, recent graduate Vy Frolov (’26) let curiosity guide their journey at Central.

As a non-traditional transfer student, Vy jumped into every opportunity with both feet, proving that it’s never too late to chase a new passion or redefine your path. Now, they are ready to take that confidence into the world!

A new partnership between Yakima Valley College and Central Washington University is designed to make it easier for students in the Yakima Valley and across Central Washington to move from a two-year college to a four-year university.

Leaders at YVC and CWU signed a new agreement Tuesday creating what they call a “seamless transfer” pathway between the two schools. The goal is to simplify the transfer process for students who are balancing school, work and family responsibilities by automatically handling applications, transcripts and other paperwork for students continuing from YVC to CWU.
