The Tripp Lecture Hall in the GTL hosted the Student Library Advocacy coMmittee's (SLAM) Banned Book Movie Night. Club President Melanie D’Aleo '27 gave a short presentation citing statistics from the American Library Association's website regarding recent banned books. Attendees then participated in a blind vote to select a banned book's movie adaptation for a screening party. SLAM will have a booth set up during Elmira College's Octagon Fair on Saturday, October 17 from 10am - 3pm.

This past Friday, the library staff hosted students for an after hours game night. Katy airpopped popcorn, students selected from a collection of board games and set out in their groups to play and enjoy each other's company. Jessa provided a fun music playlist and, while Carol channeled Clue character Mrs. White, no one wanted to play Clue. Maybe next time. Here's a few pics from the evening. Elmira College has once again earned multiple top-10 rankings among the North’s private colleges in the latest U.S. News & World Report Best Colleges evaluation!

Highlights from the Regional Colleges North rankings include:
